Shots :(

Today Dax went to the doctors for his 2 month check up and shots... the poor little guy got 2 shots in each leg... and boy did he cry, it broke my heart :( He was a trooper though and had a long nap after and has been smiling and talking all afternoon... I think I took a longer time getting over the shots than he did. Dax is up to 13 pounds and is 25 and 1/4 inches long. He is in the 75th percentile for weight and way above the curve for height... hes gonna be a tall guy... at least he is growing into his big feet.
Oh and I just thought this picture was cute and funny, he was dressed up for a video for the ward Christmas party a couple weeks ago.

What I Wake Up To...

In the early mornings I'm usually up feeding Dax when it's time for Jax to get up for work... I'm usually not ready to be up at that point so I just put Dax in Jaxon's spot and fall back to sleep. When I do finally wake up for the day this is the first thing I see laying next to me... and I love it!

Good Times

On Halloween for fun Jaxon worked on this model engine thingy, and Mom and Chris put Dax's new swing together... that was very entertaining. Chris was reading the directions to my mom and then she would do what the directions said to do... well at one point we thought the swing was ruined cause she put a bar in the wrong way and couldn't get it out. Luckily Jax was there to bail her out... it was hilarious and a good time. So how many Harline's does it take to put a swing together?? Oh and as pictures were being taken Chris mentioned that he didn't want this online or on any blog... oops sorry :)

Dax seems to be enjoying himself though doesn't he... Thanks Chris and Grandma

Picture from when Beth was here that I never posted
Derek was here a couple weeks ago and looked really good... and was a natural holding a baby, hes gonna make such a good Daddy someday.

Great Day, Great Husband

I have a great husband. For our anniversary Jaxon got me a "mommy to be" massage at a spa and yesterday I cashed it in. It was 60 minutes of pure relaxation. It was the first time that I didn't feel pregnant since this whole thing started. It was amazing!! I was in a happy daze all day long and all the aches and pains that I have been experiencing due to this pregnancy went away for a day. Every pregnant woman should be able to experience it. I love my husband!

Taylor Made a Funny

So last night we (Mom, Dad, Me, Jaxon and Taylor) were watching t.v. and Dad had the movie The Dirty Dozen on. Dad and Jaxon were discussing who the actors were in the movie and what not, and one of them points out that one of the actors is Telly Savalas. Taylor looks a little pensive and says, "I thought that was a wax."

Oh, and on a separate un-related note.... I went to the doctors today and I am now dilated to a 2 and half and I am to term now so she said it could happen at any time. So excited!

4 Weeks To Go!

I went to the doctors today and the little guy dropped, and I have started to dilate!! She said I am ahead of most women this far along so that's awesome! He just may come early after all... yeah baby!! Oh and by the way Tuesday I only have 3 weeks to go.
I dunno why it looks like we are both crying, but we weren't and I thought it was kinda a cute picture.

Sweet Stories

Author and lecturer, Leo Buscaglia, once talked about a contest he was asked to judge. The purpose of the contest was to find the child with a good heart and the most caring. The winner was:

A four-year-old child, whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman, who had recently lost his wife. Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there. When his mother asked him what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy just said, "Nothing, I just helped him cry."

Teacher Debbie Moon's first graders were discussing a picture of a family. One little boy in the picture had a different hair color than the other members. One of her students suggested that he was adopted. A little girl said, "I know all about adoption, I was adopted." "What does it mean to be adopted?", asked another child."It means", said the girl, "that you grew in your mommy's heart instead of her tummy!"

A four-year-old was at the pediatrician's office for a check up. As the doctor looked in her ears with an otoscope, he asked, "Do you think I'll find Big Bird in here?" The little girl stayed silent. Next, the doctor took a tongue depressor and looked down her throat. He asked, "Do you think I'll find the Cookie Monster down there?" Again, the little girl was silent. Then the doctor put a stethoscope to her chest. As he listened to her heart beat, he asked, "Do you think I'll hear Barney in there?" "Oh, no!", the little girl replied, "Jesus is in my heart... Barney's on my underpants."

On my way home one day, I stopped to watch a Little League baseball game that was being played in a park near my home. As I sat down behind the bench on the first-base line, I asked one of the boys what the score was. "We're behind 14 to nothing," he answered with a smile. "Really," I said. "I have to say you don't look very discouraged." "Discouraged?", the boy asked with a puzzled look on his face... "Why should we be discouraged? We haven't been up to bat yet."

Whenever I'm disappointed with my spot in life, I stop and think about little Jamie Scott. Jamie was trying out for a part in the school play. His mother told me that he'd set his heart on being in it, though she feared he would not be chosen. On the day the parts were awarded, I went with her to collect him after school. Jamie rushed up to her, eyes shining with pride and excitement. "Guess what, Mom," he shouted, and then said those words that will remain a lesson to me....."I've been chosen to clap and cheer."

An eye witness account from New York City, on a cold day in December, some years ago: A little boy, about 10-years-old, was standing before a shoe store on the roadway, barefooted, peering through the window, and shivering with cold. A lady approached the young boy and said, "My, but you're in such deep thought staring in that window!" "I was asking God to give me a pair of shoes," was the boy's reply. The lady took him by the hand, went into the store, and asked the clerk to get half a dozen pairs of socks for the boy. She then asked if he could give her a basin of water and a towel. He quickly brought them to her. She took the little fellow to the back part of the store and, removing her gloves, knelt down, washed his little feet, and dried them with the towel. By this time, the clerk had returned with the socks. Placing a pair upon the boy's feet, she purchased him a pair of shoes. She tied up the remaining pairs of socks and gave them to him. She patted him on the head and said, "No doubt, you will be more comfortable now." As she turned to go, the astonished kid caught her by the hand, and looking up into her face, with tears in his eyes, asked her . "Are you God's wife?"

Warner's at the Beach

So this week Beth Gracie Paige and Kyle were all here and we had a blast on Thursday at the beach and then the pool, and then going out to Mexican food. Here are some cute pictures from the beach... notice Beth is in them, that's the only reason they aren't already posted on her blog. So here is Taylor enjoying the sun.Check out how hot Beth looks! I have to say that her bod is impressive... and since she would never post a picture of herself in a bathing suit.. let me brag for her.
Beth and the girls watching Kyle frolic in the water
Cute little Warner family
Gracie was so good, she played by herself down by the water the whole time.. so all we had was a cute little bum shot
Cheeseburger!
At the end of the beach trip Paige and Kyle were taking a little rest and it was so cute... Kyle caught me taking a picture though and I don't think he was to fond of the idea.

Ocean Festival

On Sunday, before Church, we went down to the beach for the Ocean Festival.. I hadn't been for many years and we had a great time. There were tents and vendors set up everywhere, all up and down the beach.
Awesome view from the pier
Pretty beach
The pier
There were a bunch of these old timer cars parked on the pier.. this one was one of our favorites.
Whoa big girl!!
We watched a body boarding contest from the pier for awhile and it was pretty cool... there is a guy in this picture but you can't really see him.
And the biggest reason we went down was to see the sand castle building competition. There were a bunch of teams building these awesome castles... and Jaxon was busy taking notes on techniques... apparently a spray water bottle is key!
This castle was pretty awesome, it was small but had a ton of detail.
I was exhausted after walking up and down the beach and the pier... carrying all this extra weight really gets the feet and legs. It was really good morning though and we had a blast.
