Ok, this is an email forward that I got recently that I thought was just so funny so I wanted to share it with you all. So here it is...

I was out walking with my 4 year old daughter. She picked upsomething off the ground and started to put it in her mouth. I took the item away from her and I asked her not to do that. Why?' my daughter asked 'Because it's been on the ground, you don't know whereit's been, it's dirty, and probably has germs,' I replied. At this point, my daughter looked at me with total admirationand asked, 'Momma, how do you know all this stuff, you are so smart.' I was thinking quickly. 'All moms know this stuff. It's on the Mom Test. You have to know it, or they don't let you be a Mom. We walked along in silence for 2 or 3 minutes, but she was evidently pondering this new information. 'OH...I get it!' she beamed, 'So if you don't pass the Test you have to be the dad.' 'Exactly,'
I replied back with a big smile on my face.

Our little bat started off the night a bit more sluggish than usual, he was real tired real early. He was practically falling asleep in his dinner.






We took Dax trick or treating kind of, we went to like 2 houses where we knew the people, but other than that we just walked around the eighborhood. We decided it looked kinda silly for the 2 of us to carry our little bat to houses and ask for candy when he obviously had no idea what was going on. We had fun though.


At around 7 our little bat was done, he was falling asleep on the walk back to Grandma and Grandpa'a house, sweet little bat boy.

Sleepy Boy

A little while ago we were at my parent's house and Dax had been fighting taking a nap all day, so we were just sitting there and he just tipped over asleep. He was deep asleep too, it was so funny and so cute! P.S. the reason I haven't posted in awhile is cause we don't have Internet at our apartment and I don't own a decent camera... but I am going to try and do better and just take pictures with my mom's when I can. Stick with me guys, don't give up on me yet!! :)

More Birthday Pictures

Dax got so many awesome presents for his birthday, his toy collection doubled that day and he loved it!




For Dax's Birthday we got him his own little cake and stripped him down and let him have at it. He didn't know what to do at first but eventually got the idea and got all messy.

Lego Land for Dax's First Birthday

My baby is 1!! I cannot believe how fast this year has gone. My baby isn't really a baby anymore and I'm kinda sad about it, or at least I would be if he wasn't getting more and more fun everyday. His birthday was on Saturday and on Friday we went to Lego land. It was extra special because Dax got to have both sets of Grandparents here (well kinda, my dad was gone until Saturday afternoon). So, here are some pictures that Grandma Jalene took for me at Lego land. It was so much fun, and it was so special to have so much family there to celebrate. Thanks again for coming Grandma and Grandpa and making our celebration even better!

It was pretty hot day, and there were tons of water things to play with, and Dax LOVES water. So here we are playing with some water guns.




Dax just loved Grandpa Pope. Mike was so great, he carried Dax around practically the whole time, and waited with him while he slept so the rest of us could go on some of the bigger rides. We love you Grandpa!!




We went on this fairy tale boat ride that had all these characters made of Lego's through the whole thing, it was pretty cute.

Our little family in front of mini town. It was soo cool they have all these towns make of legos, like there was Las Vegas, and Washington D.C. and New York and a ton more. They had so much detail and were so cute, it was one of our favorite parts.

Lake Powell

Ok, so we went to Lake Powell with all the McCloys like forever ago and I know I am super lame fr just now posting the pictures. We have been pretty busy here with visitors and moving out of my parent's house and well... life. Lake Powell was so much fun!! The McCloys are some of the funnest people and we only wish we could see everyone more. I didn't take a ton of pictures because I was so busy having fun. Thanks to everyone there for being so much fun, we love you all!!

Boy of Many Faces

For those of you who don't look at my cousin Erin's blog I wanted to share what she captured when she was here. Dax is has many expressions and she got them all. Thanks Ernie these are classic Dax.

Sup

Ok, so I know I haven't blogged in awhile so let me tell you all why. Well, first I had a cold that totally kicked my butt, it was like 2 weeks of feeling really crappy. Then, Dax got a stuffy nose and then a cough, all while he was teething so he was miserable to say the least. But that darn tooth finally broke through!!! 8 and a half months and we finally have a tooth! I think the second one is going to break through here soon. I am trying to get a picture of it but... yeah an 8 month old that wont listen to instructions, hmmmm. Also, mom and dad were gone so I was babysitting granny... (I'll leave it at that :) Dax is a maniac now, he is always on the move and isn't really into napping much anymore, so I am pretty much chasing him all day... it's so much fun! Monday we head to lake Powell with the McCloy's for about a week and we couldn't be more excited! So stay tuned for teeth pictures!

The boy is always on the move and moves so fast... and is loving his new found freedom and giggles so hard when you have to chase after him.




Dax's newest trick is that he pulls himself up... but it doesn't end there. He will pull himself up, sit himself down, pull himself up, sit himself down over and over and over again... hes getting some good practice. Or he will pull himself up and let go and try to walk to you, and fall on his face... yeah hes fearless.
