Sup

Ok, so I know I haven't blogged in awhile so let me tell you all why. Well, first I had a cold that totally kicked my butt, it was like 2 weeks of feeling really crappy. Then, Dax got a stuffy nose and then a cough, all while he was teething so he was miserable to say the least. But that darn tooth finally broke through!!! 8 and a half months and we finally have a tooth! I think the second one is going to break through here soon. I am trying to get a picture of it but... yeah an 8 month old that wont listen to instructions, hmmmm. Also, mom and dad were gone so I was babysitting granny... (I'll leave it at that :) Dax is a maniac now, he is always on the move and isn't really into napping much anymore, so I am pretty much chasing him all day... it's so much fun! Monday we head to lake Powell with the McCloy's for about a week and we couldn't be more excited! So stay tuned for teeth pictures!

The boy is always on the move and moves so fast... and is loving his new found freedom and giggles so hard when you have to chase after him.




Dax's newest trick is that he pulls himself up... but it doesn't end there. He will pull himself up, sit himself down, pull himself up, sit himself down over and over and over again... hes getting some good practice. Or he will pull himself up and let go and try to walk to you, and fall on his face... yeah hes fearless.

Dax is such a good eater. He will eat anything and everything he can, and as much as he can get. We have to feed him his baby food during dinner these days otherwise he is doing all he can to get the real food... and he is a hand full these days. I love feeding him all the different foods and seeing his reactions after the first bites. Some flavors make him gag, but he goes in for another bite anyways... its hilarious! In these pictures hes eating prunes, and downed the whole jar even though he doesn't look too into it. He is my favorite!

I know I haven't been a good blogger in awhile, so let me catch you all up on what we have been up to. Me and Jaxon have wanted to really do all the things that there are to do while we are in California since there were a lot of things in Utah that we wanted to do and never did. So this last month we went to the Queen Mary and walked around, it was pretty fun. It was a little more run-down than I remembered but still fun. We went on this haunted tour that was pretty cool, but super loud so Dax was wide eyed the entire time. Taylor on the other hand was a little freaked out and we had to physically drag her on the tour. For all of you that know her know that she is kinda a wuss when it comes to anything scary or haunted. Needless to say Dax handled that tour a little better than Taylor. Yes I did take pictures while we were there... but I have no idea what happened to them... so if I find them I will share them with you all.

Next we went to Universal Studios, I have lived here all my live practically and had never been there before and Utah boy Jaxon had, so he was showing us around. That was super fun! We went on the back stage tour and on a bunch of rides and it was way fun. I did get pictures there too, but blogger wont let me post them right now... so stay tuned.

Also we went to Utah and went snowboarding! All I can say is super fun! Grandma Jalene Grandpa Pope and aunt Kim where nice enough to tag team Dax while me and Jax snuck away for the day. We had so much fun seeing everyone and were exhausted by the time it was over. Dax was such a trooper during the drive, I couldn't have asked for him to be any better!

And this last Saturday we went to the beach. It was so so nice. It was a perfect beach day. Dax even took a nap in the shade with one foot in the sand, it was cute. I even went into the water, it was so cold my bones hurt but I'm glad I did it.
