Good Times

So, this was awhile ago... but I never got around to posting it.. and there isn't much else going on in my life right now. I went to lunch with a bunch of girls I worked with at the nursing home. It was a lot of fun, these are some awesome girls and I totally miss them. From the left its: Alisha, Amy, Jacci, Me and Shawna. We got together as a reunion and to say goodbye to Jacci who was leaving soon on her mission to Kentucky. I have never really had that many girl friends, I always thought boys were so much easier to get along with.. but these girls are awesome and we had so much fun working together. If it wasn't for them.. the nursing home would have been a lot harder and I don't think any of us would have lasted as long as we did. These girls would get me cracking up while I was cleaning up poop.. and made work so much fun.

Like this one time, I get back from my break and Shawna comes running down the hall in a panic yelling that she needs my help now! Well, one of our big old ladies was bleeding out of her colostomy bag and all around it.. we had to clean her up and prep her for the paramedics that where on there way. The blood wasn't all blood and smelled so horrible and it was all over her, her bed, the floor nest to her bed and she was all worked up and fighting us every step of the way to clean her up. Oh she was an evil lady when she wanted to be, so one of us had to hold her down while the other tried to clean up and stop the bleeding. We got laughing so hard that we almost wet ourselves.

Or the time that me and Jacci had to pick up this 6 foot 300 point guy off the floor when he was covered in poop and trying to either hit us or feel us up.. without getting the poop on us. Oh that was a rough way to start the day... but we did it and laughed and cracked jokes the entire time.. we got the resident laughing too long enough to distract him and get him on the toilet... it sucked when you couldn't get him on the toilet soon enough on suppository day.. or when the nock shift "forgot" to mention it.

There were some horrible times at that place thats for sure.. but also so many fun ones that still make me laugh.

I'm so glad you don't work there anymore! Not a good place for a pregnant woman. Yuck. Aren't girlfriends wonderful?

cute picture...good times cleaning up stinky substances and poop. I have some good poop stories too. Like the time I had to clean up someone's poop that they placed on the highest shelf in the shower at Honeymann, or when someone managed to get their bodily functions everywhere but in the toilet (and by everywhere I mean the floor, the walls, the ceiling, the door...need I say more, I have probably already said too much). But we still had so much fun! so cori, I feel ya.
